Camp Fuller Welcomes New Leadership Team
Say hello to the new leadership team at Camp Fuller and learn more about their plans for camp.
Please welcome the new leadership team at Camp Fuller: Benjamin Allis, Executive Director;
Rachel Terceira, Camp Director; and Steven Stratton, Program Director.
We are excited to have these professionals at the helm of Camp Fuller as it begins its 135th year! Together they will bring new ideas, new programs and new perspectives balanced with the traditions that have kept Camp Fuller thriving for all these years.
Benjamin Allis has worked for the Y for 20 years at many different locations and camps across the nation. This will be his fifth resident camp and he is looking forward to bringing back traditional camp this summer. From those experiences, he hopes to bring in some fresh ideas that focus on inclusivity, diversity and equity to make sure that EVERY child feels at home at camp. When asked about his goals, Benjamin replied “Safety is my top priority at camp. My strength lies in training and development of staff to make sure that campers will not only have a magical experience but also a safe one.”

Fuller’s new Camp Director, Rachel Terceira, has worked with various youth organizations throughout her career. She was on staff at Camp Westwood and will bring her diverse experiences and creativity to Camp Fuller this summer. She is very excited about the opportunities and deep history that make up the fabric of Fuller and will continue the traditions that kids look forward to each summer. Her enthusiasm and passion for history will provide the foundations for those attending camp to create new traditions and leave their mark at Camp Fuller. Her goal is to provide a great camp experience in a safe and fun environment.

Steven Stratton joins the Camp Fuller leadership team as the new Program Director. Steve currently wears another hat as the Childcare Administrator for the Greater Providence Y and is already working on program development for Camp Fuller. His goals for the summer and beyond include maintaining and improving the “flagship” programs at camp while developing new and innovative offerings for campers. He is committed to learning and sharing the history of Fuller with his colleagues and new and returning campers and their families. Steve’s approach to programming is to not just participate in a program, but learn and embrace the activity while having fun. His years at Camp Yawgoo will also play a big role in program development and the introduction of new “off-season” programs at Fuller.
