
Meet the New Leadership Team
Josh Schupack and staff are ready
JOSH SCHUPACK – EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Josh came on board in 2024 and lead Fuller through a very successful summer season. Josh has a strong Y background and has been involved with many different camps throughout his career.
He believes in the power of overnight camp above anything to have a positive impact on everyone involved.
Josh lives at camp with his dog, Groot. An avid musician, Josh plays violin in the Warwick Symphony Orchestra and dabbles with his guitar and piano as well. Outside of Camp Fuller, Josh is also involved with many other YMCA initiatives. He is a member of the national steering committee of the Disability Community Resource Network and a member of the Camp Inclusion Project for YUSA.
STEVEN STRATTON – OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Steven grew up in New Jersey and has been living in Rhode Island for over seventeen years. He holds a Master of Education degree and a BA in Psychology from Stockton University. He has over twenty years of experience in overnight camping and outdoor education. Now entering his fourth year with the Greater Providence YMCA, Steven is excited to be back in the camp world.
KAELEI HOOPER – OVERNIGHT CAMP DIRECTOR
Kaelei has worked for the Y for over ten years, mostly in camp and childcare. She grew up as a Y kid at the Ken-Ton Y in Buffalo, New York. She is passionate about camp because of its inclusivity and the unique opportunities it creates for kids to try new things.
Kaelei also volunteers for the Northeast Regional Teen Leaders Club program as an advisor and staff member and runs weekend retreats and weeklong overnight leadership development programs. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
LEXI HANDY – PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Lexi is a born and bred member of the Camp Fuller community. She spent time as a camper and worked her way through Camp Leadership. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bucknell University and has a gift for program management and helping to make every camper experience one of growth and fun each summer.
DAN LARIVEE – GROUNDS KEEPER AND CARETAKER
Dan has been a member of the Greater Providence YMCA staff for many years. He takes great pride in making Fuller a better place for those who come to camp. He enjoys spending time with his grandkids, one of whom is a Fuller camper. Dan believes camp is the greatest thing for youth and makes sure Camp Fuller is in the best shape it can be for the kids who come here. He is an avid golfer and can be seen on the links when he is not at Fuller.
